Streamline will help you develop a plan to meet your document retention requirements and help you determine what, and how much, of your paper files to convert. Many times we find that it doesn’t make economic sense to attempt to convert all paper files. In most cases the need to keep them can run anywhere from 2-3 and up to 7 years, due to this, files in storage nearing their retention requirement may not be worth converting.

On the other hand, frequently accessed files are usually worth converting to electronic format. This may include files created in the last 6 months to 1 year or longer. We will work with you to develop a plan to scan day forward as well as some part of your backfile. In some cases
it may be economically feasible (and necessary depending upon volume) to consider outsourcing the scanning and indexing of your stored files. Streamline can provide document scanning/conversion services for all types of existing media from paper to Microfilm/Microfiche, Aperture Cards and Large Format Drawings. We can scan, index and return these documents to you in any required format.

We have years of experience in Data Management and conversion work. We have converted
a wide variety of older technology systems and have been able to import everything into newer formats. Many of the older technologies were very proprietary and difficult to convert from. Not for us!

Contact us to find out if we’ve already done a conversion like yours. If not, arrangements
can be made to send us a sample of your database and images for our review. All conversions are quoted on an individual basis and can be affected by the amount of time required to format the conversion. The volume and format of stored images can also affect the conversion costs. We can deliver the conversion in any media format from CD to Hard Drive and if we’re supplying the new system, we will load the converted data for you.
